The event was well supported and we were very lucky with the weather only 5 miles away in the east it was raining very heavily causing many riders not to turn up, but the hole course was dry with only a few light spots of rain just before we started.
The events was won by Ben Instone www.scientific coaching.com with a time of 51:19 not bad considering he was complaining of not feeling well. He still won by over 2 minutes. The ladies was won by Julia Shaw GS Strada (Pinarello, Rudy Project, Afford) National Ladies 10 mile Champion with a time of 57:34.
It was a good morning with 17 improvements. One of which Eddie Fryer Manx Road Club a former member of the Bournemouth Arrow who moved to the Isle of Man back in 1980 making his first visit back to Bournemouth since. His ride 1:8:10 giving him an improvement 4:35 second best improvement. On the Isle of Man the still have dead turns and no dual carriageways.
