Club Track Training Summer 2015
All members who enjoy track competition will be looking forward to our improved track training programme for the Summer. Every Friday evening, starting in April and running through every week till the end of August, the Club will take advantage of our move to Tuesdays to provide intensive, track focussed, training sessions.
Building on the hugely successful winter Calshot Programme the aim is to provide a quality of session unrivalled locally through the addition of specific Derny training to the weekly Programme. The sessions will commence at 6.00pm initially to make most use of the available light. The focus will be to provide training for track competition at both Track League and Regional level and so we have to
limit the session to those members who have passed, or are most of the way through, the BCC Accreditation Process.
In the event that the track is not available, 2 Wattbike sessions will be organised, one at 6.00pm and one at 7.00pm. Again each session will be structured to provide quality, focussed top end track focussed training. Riders wishing to be considered for these sessions should submit their name in advance to Alan McRae. Priority will be given to those 16 club members who will be taking part in the 2015 Bournemouth Track League. It is likely we will have to run a “standby list” so any selected rider must notify Alan if they are unavailable so their place can be filled.
The Programme commences with a Wattbike night on Tues 1st April and the Club pays tribute to our team of Coaches who continue to make themselves available for the benefit of other members.
